The Role

An opening has arisen for an Oracle Developer to join the Applications Support and Development team within IT Services. The role is a Fixed Term Contract until 30th June 2026, providing Business As Usual and Continuous Improvement development support work to the team for our Finance 12.2.10 system.

The team is responsible for the development, maintenance & continuous improvement of our core Finance applications – primarily Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12) Financials. The support and maintenance of the reporting platform and ancillary systems are also part of the role.

We are seeking a candidate with a detailed technical foundation of the eBusiness suite platform. PLSQL skills will form a key part of the role. Some development work will need to be considered for future compatibility with Oracle Fusion, so Fusion experience is also desirable. A good working knowledge of AP, AR, GL, Projects, iProcurement, Purchasing, Inventory, Fixed Assets & EAM modules would be helpful. Oracle Workflow Builder, Forms, Reports, and reporting skills such as XML Publisher, or Excel4Apps are desirable. Knowledge and experience of interfaces is highly valued. A successful candidate will join our established team of functional analysts and developers supporting these applications.

The Developer role involves working with business users and IT colleagues to understand, define and develop fixes and solutions to business issues.

Essential Experience:

  • Oracle eBusiness Suite Financials (12.2.10).
  • Experience supporting a core Finance system.
  • Excellent Oracle PL/SQL skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • Resolution of incidents and change requests/working with customers.
  • Understanding or experience of full software implementation cycle.
  • Experience working with interfaces.
  • Experience of CEMLIs/Oracle Application Extensions/Personalisation’s.
  • Oracle Fusion experience
  • Working with any of the following tools: APEX, XML Publisher, Excel4Apps, Oracle Forms and Reports, Workflow Builder, GitHub/TortoiseGit or other version control software, TOAD/SQL Developer.
  • Working with Oracle documentation (OUM/AIM methodology).
  • Experience working within a team.
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
