Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr John Danial conducting research for a project entitled Structural fingerprinting of single amyloid fibrils in human samples. The primary duties will be to develop a novel single-molecule assay to fingerprint the structure of amyloid fibrils in human samples with the aim of accurately diagnosing neurodegenerative diseases.
The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD with expertise in amyloid biochemistry, neuroscience, and fluorescence single-molecule/super-resolution imaging.
The post is available for 36 months starting 15 October 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years.
