Salford Business School is looking for a Chair in Circular Economy to join our growing community to lead and effect real-world change through academic excellence and interdisciplinary research leadership. Reporting directly to the PVC Dean, the Chair in Circular Economy represents one of several positions aimed at building a powerful interdisciplinary research team of developing market and organisation studies, entrepreneurship, information systems and supply chain management scholars.

This is an exciting time to join the University, as we continue to grow and leverage our collaborative expertise to enrich the lives of our students, stakeholders and local community.

Key responsibilities

  • Make a significant contribution to the University’s returns to national research assessment exercises (REF).
  • Play a lead role in development of an innovative and dynamic academic environment bringing tangible benefits and impacts for other groups and organisations outside the higher education sector.
  • Develop and disseminate collaborative research and outputs of international standing in your discipline, and across disciplines collaborating on the circular economy/sustainable business futures research programmes.
  • Develop and lead research/commercial projects and collaborative partnerships with other higher education institutions and organizations in the UK and internationally.
