You will be based at our Francis Close Hall Campus, however due to us being a multi campus university you will be required to work across our Campus in Cheltenham and Gloucester.
The School of Education, Health & Science is seeking to appoint a Technician to support its undergraduate and postgraduate Bioscience provision from September 2025.
As a Technician, you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of technical support for teaching, assessment and research. You will play a supporting role in ordering, preparing and maintaining materials and equipment and ensuring their safe disposal. You’ll help to ensure the safe and effective operation of our laboratories and field equipment, undertaking and relaying Risk and COSHH assessments and providing training on equipment.
You will join our Bioscience group in the School, which has a strong reputation for high-quality, research-informed teaching, having placed consistently high in national student satisfaction rankings and regularly co-publishing with students. The group has consistently been submitted for the REF and remains central to the University’s goal of achieving internationally-excellent and world-class outputs and impact from the majority of its research. The School is in robust health, offering an extensive range of subjects and inter-disciplinary work. The post is sited at the University’s Francis Close Hall Campus, in the attractive surrounds of Cheltenham and with the Cotswolds on our doorstep.
