The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) promotes innovative, inspiring and supportive approaches to teaching and learning across the University. Part of the Library and Learning Services directorate, the CELT team works collaboratively with academic colleagues in delivering active blended learning and online learning programmes as well as support the professional development of academic and professional service colleagues across the university.
About the Job
We are seeking an Academic Developer to work as part of the CELT team to provide staff development opportunities at the school, programme and individual level delivering expert advice, guidance, consultancy and support for academic staff and other key stakeholder groups across the University on areas of academic development. Participating in the design, teaching and assessment of a range of staff development programmes that are (delivered both face to face and online) to academic staff, post graduate students and professional service colleagues, you will develop and coordinate a range of activities and events to support innovation, pedagogical research and share best practice for learning and teaching.
About You
You will be an experienced educational practitioner with excellent teaching skills and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of staff development initiatives and conduct pedagogic research. Experience of working as part of a team within a project-based environment, you will have a deep understanding of how technology can be used to support the enhancement of the quality of teaching and provide positive student outcome.
