We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security team. This is a key role supporting the University’s efforts to embed clear information ownership, accountability, and improved security across our systems, infrastructure, and processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage with staff and students to assess needs, improve information handling, and support best practices. -Contribute to the development and promotion of a consistent information security policy framework.
  • Collaborate with IT Services and wider University departments to ensure effective implementation of governance controls. -Support the delivery of our information security awareness programme.
  • Provide practical advice on applying security and governance policies to new systems and projects. -Assess risks and highlight areas for improvement using recognised frameworks and methodologies.

About you:

  • Practical experience supporting users with information governance and handling processes. -Strong understanding of information and cyber security principles (technical expertise not required).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and risk assessment methods. -Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
