The Role

We are recruiting to the role of Deputy Academic Registrar to join our Registry Services team.

An exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to take on a leadership role in a professional services environment within Higher Education. You will lead a team responsible for the operational delivery of the range of administrative processes that underpin the student journey. We are looking for an individual with a strong focus on service delivery who can drive transformational change across the service. You will be an excellent communicator and able to inspire and influence colleagues at all levels.

You will contribute positively to the culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence under the leadership of the Academic Registrar.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To lead the Registry teams, and line manage staff, ensuring staff have a supportive and enabling environment in which they can deliver objectives, develop their own performance, and provide excellent customer service.
  • To provide innovative leadership to drive transformational change, identifying needs and proactively proposing, establishing, implementing, reviewing and revising policies, procedures and working practices as appropriate, based on sector intelligence, to ensure their continuous improvement and refinement.
  • To deliver accurate, timely and efficient procedures across the whole student lifecycle for campus-based, and students studying through partnerships, including:
    • Curriculum Set up
    • Academic Calendar
    • Programme Enrolment
    • Assessment administration and assessment boards
    • Student Records Management
    • Data management for Statutory Returns
    • Certification
    • Alumni References

The successful candidate will have skills and experience in leading provision of an efficient and effective Registry service supporting academic departments across a university or similar environment.
