Can you do it?

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of on-premises and cloud-based systems, working closely with InfoSec and Infrastructure teams to maintain high availability and data protection standards. Your expertise will help drive new technology adoption and support the evolving needs of our organisation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Owning and managing Microsoft 365 and Azure services
  • Maintaining VMware ESXi, Windows Servers, storage systems, DNS, and PKI
  • Collaborating with Information Security to implement best practice configurations and security hardening
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues, liaising with third parties as needed
  • Mentoring junior team members and share your knowledge
  • Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements to performance, reliability, and security

Is this you?

In order to be successful, you will have;

  • Ideally, at least 5 years’ experience providing third-line IT support in a medium sized organisation managing multiple technologies
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform) and Azure
  • Experience with Enterprise Mobility & Security Management (Intune, Entra ID)
  • Solid knowledge of VMware ESXi, Windows Server 2019+, DNS, storage systems including SAN, and PKI
  • Good understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security including Zero Trust Network Access

The working pattern is Monday to Friday, with hybrid working arrangements based in Greater Manchester (initially Stockport, moving to Manchester Science Park in 2026).
