We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to join the new Women’s Health Research Wales Centre within Cardiff University that has been fully funded for five years, based in School of Medicine – Heath Park site. The position is available for 5 years subject to satisfactory Centre performance report after the third year. The Centre targets transformative action in four thematic areas showing the most significant inequalities: prevention and health(y) transitions (Theme 1), early onset and life-long health conditions (Theme 2), rare and stigmatised conditions (Theme 3), and underserved communities (Theme 4).
This post provides an exciting opportunity to join our thriving research community and should be attractive to emergent leaders wanting to profit from an energised Women’s Health research network.
The successful applicant will be committed to addressing women’s health issues and have a significant portfolio of research outputs (grants, publications, impact) under the theme of 'Early Onset and Life-Long Conditions’ to work as theme co-lead with Dr Denitza Williams. We welcome candidates from a range of theoretical and applied backgrounds, but we are particularly keen to hear from people with strong backgrounds in mixed methods, women’s health, health psychology, and innovation.
For informal enquiries, please contact the Centre Director, Professor Jacky Boivin (email: boivin@cardiff.ac.uk).
The Centre funding is up to 5 years, subject to a satisfactory Centre performance report after the third year.
This position is full-time (35 hours per week), available immediately and fixed term until 31st March 2028, with potential for further two years following satisfactory Centre performance report.
