The Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) is a vibrant faculty based in the heart of London with a long tradition of world-leading research and teaching in physics, mathematics, chemistry, informatics and engineering.
About the role
The faculty are seeking an experienced work related learning professional who will lead and manage the Student-External Engagement Team, and play a key role in increasing the opportunities for employers and external partners to engage with our students (e.g. through student projects, internships, placements, guest lectures, etc.).
The role holder will develop a framework of work-related learning activities with external partners. They will engage proactively and reactively with relevant academic staff, employers, alumni and other professional bodies, to develop relationships and activities for delivery to students. The role-holder will be responsible for developing process, supporting development of new activity, evaluating activities, and presenting relevant data to support future strategy and development.
The position is part of the Enterprise & Engagement (E&E) team and will also work very closely with the Education function in the faculty. The E&E team is responsible for enabling collaborations between the faculty and external stakeholders both in the UK and internationally, increasing the impact of our research and teaching on the outside world and bringing benefits to our staff and students.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
