Lecturer (Education) in Mathematics Education (PGCE)

We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer (Education) in Mathematics Education to support the delivery of the Postgraduate Certificate in Education.

Our tailored and accredited professional courses are designed in partnership with key professional agencies with the aim of equipping students with the transferable skills that they need for professional practice.

PGCE at Queen’s is taught by a team of academics who are qualified teachers.

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

• Honours Degree in mathematics or an honours degree with a significant mathematics component.
• Recognised teaching qualification granting eligibility to teach at Post-Primary level (ages 11-18).
• Master’s degree or above in any discipline
• Demonstrable scholarly activity in subjects relevant to mathematics and/or mathematics education.
• Substantial experience of teaching mathematics (or equivalent) in Post-Primary School(s).
• Experience in teaching or mentoring ITE students and/or Early Career Teachers.
