The opportunity
We are seeking a Support Technician: Publications to play a key role within our dynamic Publications Print team, supporting students and staff at Central Saint Martins (CSM).
As a Support Technician, you will support the learning and teaching of a talented and diverse cohort of students from various Art and Design pathways, including Graphic Design, Fine Art and Fashion Communication.
You will play an integral role within the team, supporting the Specialist Technician in the day-to-day operation and management of resources, as well as ensuring that facilities and equipment are prepared and in safe working order in accordance with Health and Safety standards. The team takes a varied approached to teaching and learning, so you can expect to work with both non-traditional and traditional materials.

About you
We are looking for a creative, self-motivated person who’s passionate about print publication and who can empathise with the needs of students.
You will also either have a relevant qualification in your area of specialism or experience in print publication work.
You will bring knowledge and experience in publication production and digital printing, as well as experience of creative desktop publication and print management software. Additional experience of using printers such as Inkjet, Laser and Risograph, alongside knowledge of finishing and binding techniques for small to medium-scale publication work is essential.
You will have good organisational skills, be able to effectively multi-task and be adaptable to different communication styles and systems to meet individual needs and support students’ learning experience.
