HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a merged College Group, based in West London. We have five campuses at Harrow on the Hill, Harrow Weald, Hayes, Uxbridge and Richmond upon Thames.

The Head of Quality and Compliance is a pivotal and exciting new role, offering the opportunity to drive quality improvement initiatives and lead a dedicated team to ensure excellence across our apprenticeship provision. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality leader who is passionate about shaping the future of apprenticeship programmes while contributing to a forward-thinking, growing organisation.

Reporting into the Managing Director for Apprenticeship and Skills, you will lead and shape the quality and compliance of our apprenticeship provision to provide exceptional delivery to our learners and employers.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and oversee the quality and compliance strategy for the apprenticeship provision
  • Lead and supervise a team of quality, compliance and funding colleagues
  • Implement processes to ensure compliance with all DFE contractual requirements including funding administration and data submissions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with sector regulations and best practices
  • Implement a sector leading quality assurance and improvement system that ensures the provision of high quality apprenticeships and outstanding learner journey
  • Collaborate with curriculum specialists to design, evaluate and enhance the apprenticeship curriculum, ensuring that they provide an exceptional learner journey, meet the needs of employers both locally and nationally

We are seeking a highly driven, motivational leader who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in the apprenticeship sector, with a deep understanding of its regulatory landscape, with good working knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules, ILR returns and learner tracking platforms
  • Proven experience of leading on compliance audits and inspections, including recent experience of leading on Ofsted inspections to a successful outcome
  • Proven experience of leading on SAR and QIP initiatives that improved learner outcomes/experience
  • Proven experience of streamlining processes that improved the learner and employer experience, including development and use of data analysis and metrics, including experience of implementing a Learner Management System (LMS)
  • Excellent people leadership skills, including managing change and developing a team

This role can involve some hybrid/remote working, to be discussed and agreed on appointment.
