We are seeking a proactive, tenacious and highly motivated individual to work as part of a diverse team to support the delivery of the Innovation Pathways (In-Path) programme - an exciting new project in West Yorkshire.
Led by Leeds Beckett University, in partnership with University of Huddersfield, University of Leeds and University of Bradford, In-Path will facilitate collaboration and forge partnerships between academia and health innovation and digital technology businesses. The programme will mobilise the health-tech eco-system to maximise impact, foster innovation, accelerate the development of new health technologies and bridge the gap between academic research and real-world applications in the health, care and wellbeing sector.
This is one of four Relationship Manager roles (with each position hosted by one of the university partners) that will work within the In-Path team. Adopting a business-centred approach, the Relationship Managers will help optimise opportunities and accelerate business innovation and growth through the established portfolio of support and expertise available through the university partners and, more broadly, within the West Yorkshire Investment Zone.

Candidates should be educated to degree level or possess substantial work experience, in a similar and relevant role. They should have demonstrable business development/partnership development and client acquisition experience, with the ability to ascertain and understand individual business needs and challenges. Applicants must also possess fundamental knowledge of the regional landscape and funding ecosystem, and appropriate opportunities/interventions which support academic and industry engagement and collaboration. The role will also require exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload, working independently and as part of a team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with the ability to build rapport with a broad range of stakeholders, across industry and academia, looking to help influence the regional innovation landscape.
