This full-time post is available immediately for three years and will be based at Exeter’s Streatham campus within Egenis (Exeter Centre for the Study of the Lifesciences) at Byrne House. Hybrid working is welcome.

We are looking for a Social Science Research Fellow to join the Centre for Net Positive Health and Climate Solutions (Net+ Centre).

The Net+ Centre launched on 1st October 2024 and is a five-year research centre funded by UKRI. It is led by the University of Exeter alongside core partners at the UK Health Security Agency, The National Trust, and Forest Research amongst others. The key aim of the Net+ Centre is to establish interdisciplinary research infrastructure, partnerships and capacity that will proactively deliver novel, impactful research on climate change and health with a focus on environmental-social-health inequalities. The successful applicant will undertake research across different projects in the Centre.

About you

You will:

  • Possess a PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in anthropology, STS, sociology or similar social science discipline.
  • Be interested in working with other disciplines to undertake empirical qualitative work on health and climate/environmental change.
  • Be able to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary research teams and across sectors, contributing to joint thinking and outputs.
