Graduate Transitions Manager

Manchester Metropolitan University – Careers and Employability Service Department

About the Department

The Careers and Employability Service department at Manchester Met is recruiting four new posts, each based within our Faculty Teams, to lead activity that supports the transition of final year students into graduate roles.

These roles are central to our mission of delivering high-impact, inclusive support that spans the student-to-graduate journey—from final year through to early career. Working collaboratively with students, careers teams, academic colleagues, professional services, alumni, and employers, the postholders will lead initiatives that enhance graduate success, influence institutional employability strategy, and strengthen Manchester Met's reputation for delivering meaningful outcomes.

About the Role

These new posts will provide leadership and coordination across the student-to-graduate lifecycle, ensuring students and recent graduates receive tailored, impactful support.

You will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of coordinated engagement plans for final-year students.
  • Provide data-informed insight and identify students in need of targeted support.
  • Champion inclusive, student-centred approaches that ensure all students and graduates can access and benefit from tailored support.
  • Work cross-functionally with academic departments, professional services, and alumni relations to keep graduates connected and supported in their early careers.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and reporting within the Careers and Employability Service and across wider university initiatives.

For further information on the role please see the attached job description below

About You

  • A proactive and visible approach to student engagement, acting as a trusted point of contact for career advice, postgraduate planning, and professional development.
  • The ability to influence institutional outcomes and contribute expert insight to discussions on career readiness and graduate success.

If you would like to join our people and share our ambition, we would love to hear from you.
