Project Coordinator (0.8 FTE)

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. The role is based in the NCDE Department Electronic Health Records group, working with Professor Sinéad Langan and colleagues in other UK and international institutions. The successful applicant will lead and manage all administrative and financial aspects of a dynamic portfolio, from health data research to supporting a vibrant clinical academic community. As a key member of the Department and the first point of contact for those projects, the post-holder will provide guidance on their management and administration, from funding costings for application, project set up, management and closure (the complete life cycle), working closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) Professor Sinéad Langan and liaising with partner institutions where necessary.

Applicants must have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience alongside substantial experience providing proactive administrative support for academic research, including the ability to monitor large budgets and prepare accurate costings, projections and reports. Proven ability to use initiative and judgement to solve problems, manage a busy workload and work with high accuracy and attention to detail is also essential. The post is part-time, 0.8 FTE, and fixed-term until 31 March 2027 with potential for extension subject to funding.

The post is funded by multiple funders and available immediately. 

The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,432 - £45,097 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
