Background
We are seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Diversity in Data Visualization – DIVERSE CDT.
DIVERSE CDT is a major £10m investment to develop critical, multidisciplinary leaders at the forefront of data visualization research. Based at City St George’s, University of London and the University of Warwick, DIVERSE CDT will work with 40+ industrial and academic partner organisations to provide an innovative programme of bespoke education and applied research, training 60 PhD students over the next 8 years.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will be the driving force of the CDT’s collaboration with external organisations, through inclusive, intelligent relationship management.
They will develop innovative approaches to managing and attracting new partners to support and enhance the CDT, being the main point of contact for external partners in the DIVERSE CDT network.
The Business Development Manager will maintain existing relationships, initiate and establish partnerships, ensuring these mutually benefit all parties. They will facilitate DIVERSE industry and lab exchange placements, reporting on progress, contributions, costings, and success.
Person Specification
We are looking for an individual who can deliver the ambition of research-in-practice, with demonstrable success working in Business-to-Business industry or not-for-profit roles. The ideal candidate will have a degree and experience of successful multi-stakeholder project delivery.
We are looking for someone who can take initiative and liaise with all DIVERSE CDT stakeholders, to develop a DIVERSE, vibrant and influential network of happy partners and students.
