The Role
As a Data Analyst at STEM Learning, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging analytics and data science methodologies to enhance our understanding of our offer, deepen our knowledge of our audience, and evaluate the impact of our work.
You will work collaboratively with the Data & Impact Team to apply advanced data modelling, predictive modelling, and analytical techniques to generate actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality data analytics service: Provide high-quality BAU data reporting and deliver a portfolio of quantitative analytics projects and research, which deliver robust impact measurement and support data-driven evaluation of our programmes.
- Champion analytics: Position analytics and data science as central to the organisation, identifying new and emerging analytics needs and supporting colleagues to understand and use analytics effectively.
- Stay current: Integrate external evidence into our analytics portfolio and proactively suggest new initiatives. Identify new and emerging analytics needs and develop sustainable reporting solutions.
- Communicate insights: Serve as the point of contact for analytics expertise, disseminate findings in an accessible manner, and present data insights to non-specialist audiences.
- Support leadership: Contribute to sector-leading analytics efforts and identify collaboration opportunities with other leading organisations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Demonstrable experience with large datasets and advanced predictive analysis tools and techniques to produce actionable insights. Proven track record in the production of clear, well written reports, tailored to the business stakeholder requirements. Proficiency in Power BI is desirable.
- Skills: Expertise in quantitative data analyses, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex findings into plain English.
- Stakeholder management: Ability to form effective working relationships and highly skilled in advancing a reasoned, evidence-led case for a course of action.
- Qualities: Positive, conscientious, inquisitive, and solution oriented. Strong self-motivation, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work well under pressure. Able to work independently to plan and prioritise own workload appropriately, whilst also working effectively with the rest of the team.
