About the Role
The School of Engineering and Materials Science is offering appointments for graduates with a Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Robotics background to assist with undergraduate teaching activities. The Teaching Associate team supports the academic staff in the delivery of high-quality education, provides support in the classroom and the laboratory, and is involved in student tutoring, assessment of coursework, and facilitating key skills and problem-based learning activities. The post holders will also be involved in the School’s Outreach activities. This is a valuable opportunity to obtain a wide range of teaching experience
The School of Engineering and Material Science invites applications for three full-time, fixed term Teaching Associate positions, with two appointments commencing on 1st September and one appointment commencing on 1st October.
About You
You will have or will be working towards a postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience. You will have knowledge of subject at undergraduate and postgraduate level and the ability to present specialist material in a logical, coherent and interesting manner, both to students and to fellow specialists.

This post is within the School of Engineering and Materials Science, a large School with 108 academics, more than 250 PhD students and over 2500 undergraduate students. It is one of five schools in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Queen Mary University of London. These are supported by an administrative and technical staff team of around 50. The staff and student body are international in make-up.
