The groups of Andy Jones and Dan Rigden at the University of Liverpool are recruiting a Bioinformatics Data Engineer for the BBSRC-funded project “Integrated bioinformatics resources for fungal and oomycete pathogens of plants”.
We are seeking a highly skilled bioinformatician/coder to assist in the annotation and integration of genomes. Responsibilities include executing and improving annotation pipelines, assessing AI-driven methods, and loading data into the Ensembl/VEuPathDB platforms.
The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary, international team dedicated to making data FAIR. This is a three-year contract in the first instance, hybrid working options are available
