You must be an HCPC registered dietitian with well-developed knowledge and an understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to contemporary practice. Ideally, you’ll be at the forefront of new ways of working in Health and Social Care, demonstrating care innovation and wide-ranging dietetic experience.
You will be involved in supporting the delivery of our MSc Dietetics and BSc (Hons) Dietetics- Degree Apprenticeship pre-registration courses. As a lecturer you will be able to inspire our students and make a valuable contribution to their learning experience whilst preparing them for contemporary dietetic practice.
This role will provide cover for our innovative Dietetics Degree Apprenticeship Course delivered online with national reach https://www.shu.ac.uk/study-here/higher-and-degree-apprenticeships/health-and-social-care/dietitian . This is an exciting opportunity to learn first-hand about apprenticeships and how through collaboration of work-based learning, block release to university and wide-ranging placement opportunities, we are widening access to dietetic careers at Sheffield Hallam University.
You will support teaching and learning across a range of modules, assessment, and feedback, supporting students’ academic and practice learning progression. You’ll have the ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of backgrounds and to work collaboratively to enhance the student experience.
If you would like to influence the next generation of dietetic practitioners we would like to hear from you.
We offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment.
You will be contractually enrolled into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) – one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country.
If you are, or have been, a recent member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) directly prior to joining us, you can choose to opt out of the TPS and remain in the USS. Please contact the Pensions team to discuss options available.
The role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route so if you are an international applicant, you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
