The College is seeking to appoint a Career Development Fellow in Pure Mathematics, with effect from September 2025. This is a 3-year fixed-term teaching and research appointment in Mathematics, with a core focus on Pure Mathematics.
The intention is to appoint a Pure Mathematician with a strong commitment to teaching and research and to provide an opportunity for someone embarking on an academic career. The successful candidate must possess, or be near to completing, a doctorate in Pure Mathematics and must have experience of undergraduate teaching and possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. They should also have a research and publication record, appropriate to their career stage, in Pure Mathematics.
The successful candidate must have the capacity to teach across a range of Pure Mathematics papers as set out in the further particulars.
The total stipend will be in the range £39,355 - £41,467 plus additional allowances. The appointment will be pensionable under the USS scheme.
