UOB Manchester is an exciting new higher education provider in the heart of Manchester, with a focus on high quality teaching and assessment, and an inclusive, business-like culture. As we expand our range of undergraduate programmes, we are looking to recruit high-quality, highly-motivated associate lecturers with a strong background in practice to match their academic qualifications.
We are looking for lecturers in Health and Social Care with utility across a range of key topics, including Anatomy and Physiology, Safeguarding, Lifespan Development, Comparative Healthcare Systems, etc. Lecturers are also expected to assist students with the development of basic academic skills. We are especially interested in Health and Social Care professionals looking to start a new career in higher education. Our ideal candidates will have deep knowledge of the sector and will be outstanding lecturers. They will be passionate about improving the life-chances of our students and will have a deep interest in the Health and Social Care sector.
Successful candidates will work from our building at Manchester Science Park, and later from our new building in the City Centre. All staff are required to teach face-to-face, but may occasionally be required to teach online, so familiarity with online delivery, and Zoom in particular, will be an advantage.
Salaries are competitive and based on candidates' qualifications, experience, and utility. Fellowship of the HEA or an undertaking to achieving this will be an advantage. You will be articulate, and qualified to Bachelor’s degree level as a minimum. Masters level education and professional status/accreditation will also be an advantage. Associate contracts are offered on a fixed-term trimesterly basis. We operate three trimesters per academic year. Candidates must have an unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom without caveat.
