This is more than just a teaching role—it’s a chance to make a real impact. You’ll contribute to a research-active environment that values innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in both education and student experience.

Our internationally recognised sport programmes are supported by cutting-edge facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories and performance centres, and benefit from strong partnerships with industry leaders and community organisations.

We’re looking for a motivated and knowledgeable individual with expertise in Exercise Science who can inspire students through engaging, high-quality teaching. Whether your background is in academia or professional practice, we value your experience and will support you in developing your own research or applied interests within a collaborative and supportive environment.

In order to be successful in this role you should have:

  • A post graduate qualification relevant to the exercise science
  • A Higher Education teaching qualification and/or an HEA Fellowship, or willingness to undertake this within the first 12 months

  • Experience of leading and implementing creative approaches to developing teaching and learning.

If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.

If you're ready to help shape the future of sport education and empower the next generation of sport leaders, we want to hear from you.
