About the role

We are seeking a Teaching Fellow in Engineering Mathematics and Computational Methods to support in the delivery of our education programme in the School of Engineering. The School of Engineering has a welcoming and inclusive environment, undertaking interdisciplinary teaching and research ranging from Aerospace, Bioengineering, Digital Manufacturing, Green Energy & Transport Systems, Mechanics of Materials to Thermofluids. 

This post will specifically strengthen our teaching in the areas of applied mathematics and computational methods. You will lead the delivery of modules related to computational modelling and engineering mathematics. This post is integral to our commitment, through our teaching and research activities, to establish a sound independent base for world-changing research and research-inspired education.

About you

You will hold a good first degree in Mathematics or Engineering or a related Physical Science, alongside a PhD (or equivalent industrial experience) in a relevant field such as Computational Modelling, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics. You should have experience of teaching or mentoring in either academic or industrial settings, with a strong commitment to student success and inclusive learning. Your ability to inspire and engage students, supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be key to your success in this role.

You will bring a passion for higher education and the ambition to develop professionally within a forward-thinking institution. A willingness to engage in scholarship activities and to take on leadership responsibilities where required is essential.
