Job synopsis
The Associate Professor A in Mental Health Nursing will provide strategic and operational leadership to support teaching, research and scholarly contribution within the School of Nursing & Midwifery at the University of Limerick, whilst also supporting future development and expansion. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in mental health nursing and to interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision and mentoring. The post holder will be required to lead on research initiatives, providing academic leadership and management, direction, support and guidance to staff, research students and colleagues in Nursing and Midwifery and related departments/schools. This post holder will facilitate research collaboration across the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences (EHS), University of Limerick (UL) and other Nursing and Midwifery departments/schools nationally and internationally, in line with UL's and the EHS strategic plans. The successful candidate will contribute to the research metrics, including increasing ISI Q1 and Q2 publications, securing grant funding and increasing PhD and master’s by research students.
