Brunel University of London was established in 1966 and is a leading multidisciplinary research-intensive technology university delivering economic, social and cultural benefits. The University has been awarded a grant by the British Council through the International Science Partnerships Fund, provided by UK Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, to appoint early career fellows, from 6 and up to 12 months, to collaborate internationally and gain access to new research environments, knowledge, and expertise, to enhance the quality of their research.

Fellows must:

ECRs must not have held a permanent academic post or a permanent post with a research-related element, or one which allowed them to supervise PhD students or submit research grants as a PI. Time spent in teaching or academic roles does not affect ECR status, provided no research element was part of the role. If a researcher does not hold a PhD but has research experience equivalent to a PhD holder, they can still be considered eligible. Participants from for-profit organisations cannot be funded.

Besides the application form, you need to upload: (1) your CV; (2) a two-page maximum cover letter explaining you meet eligibility and desirable criteria; (3) a case of support for the fellowship (up to four pages) including (a) a description of your recent work and any planned research outputs; (b) the research work you will conduct in your fellowship aligned with sustainable and resilient built environment research agenda; (c) how this fellowship will help in the capacity-building and socio-economic advancement of Vietnam.
