The Role
The School of Social Sciences and Humanities is looking to recruit a full-time Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Forensic Psychology to join our dynamic and innovative academic team. The successful candidate will contribute to courses in the Psychology subject cluster. This includes a suite of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. There will be opportunities to shape this provision and develop the portfolio of courses as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary subject team.
You will have responsibility for the development, preparation and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including module leadership where appropriate while contributing to the development, organisation and management of the curriculum to include international and intercultural experiences.
Qualifications Required
Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Forensic Psychology with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
Demonstrating good practice in teaching, learning and assessment through use of a wide range of learning resources and appropriate pedagogic practice, you will ensure that teaching is informed by contemporary research and develops the ability of students to engage in debate, critical discourse, and rational thinking. Contributing to the wider student experience through a wide range of approaches, this role will also undertake scholarly activity, as appropriate, and assist with the development of external partnerships both in the UK and overseas. HCPC registration would be an advantage.
