An exciting role within the University of Hertfordshire’s Events team, we are looking for an Acquisition Events Manager with a great ability to develop, organise and manage large events. The University’s Events team is responsible for acquisition/recruitment events, as well as supporting larger corporate events. The Acquisition Events Manager is directly responsible for the development and evolution of our recruitment events, guided by a Senior Events Manager.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Acquisition Events Manager will lead on event management of acquisition events, developing new initiatives to ensure visitors have the best possible experience while on our campuses. You will be required to monitor, evaluate and report back to stakeholders and relevant parties on all aspects of each event, with the aim of improving future events, including undertaking and analysing visitor feedback. You will also be required to work closely with key colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the University’s strategic goals are met, by implementing best practices to all UK acquisition events and by building on great working relationships with stakeholders and departments across the University.
Skills and experience required
You will have experience organising and managing large and complex events, working with Customer Relationship Management packages and experience completing market research, including running surveys for event feedback. You should also have experience working in Higher Education student recruitment and should ideally have experience of UK education marketing and/or recruitment. Excellent communication and customer service skills, excellent organisational skills and being a team player with the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for the role.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of a degree or equivalent, or proven professional experience.
