The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to support us in our delivery of dining vision at the College. You will be creative and have a passion for food with the ability to cook to a high standard with minimum rosette standard food.
The role of the Sous Chef is to support the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in the co-ordination and oversight of the kitchen operations, and the leadership of the kitchen team to deliver to the highest possible standard of dining, including regular meals and special functions, for our students, Fellows, staff and conference guests.
The role will support the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation to the highest possible standard. You will take pride in customer satisfaction and seek to instil creativity into teams on a daily basis, whilst managing menu planning, food safety, health and safety checks and appropriate food ordering, amongst other responsibilities.
This is a full-time role (40 hours p/w working 5 days out of 7). The ability and willingness to adopt a flexible approach to working hours is expected, as this role covers holidays and other absences and you may be required to work additional hours from time to time in order to fulfil the requirements of the role and the needs of the college.
The salary for this role is £37,000 p/a.
