We are seeking a dedicated Building Services Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Herchel Smith Building, a multi-stakeholder building based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
As the first point of contact for staff, students, contractors, and visitors, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. You'll manage reception duties, handle external enquiries, coordinate contractor access, and ensure smooth communication across all building users. You will provide building induction and update building procedures and guidance as appropriate. Your ability to provide clear guidance and support will be key to the building's daily operations.
You'll act as the building Fire Manager & First Aider, support departmental safety initiatives, and provide committee support to key stakeholder groups. You'll also play a key role in environmental sustainability efforts.
This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of cleaning, maintenance, and security services, while upholding the highest standards of health and safety compliance. The position will also input into the department and building business continuity plans and you would therefore be expected to be a contact in the case of emergency.
You will assist with financial aspects of building management including purchasing items and services and liaise closely with department finance team.
