Do you love making events happen? Are you highly organised, full of ideas, and ready to take the lead on delivering standout conferences and events?

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for a confident and capable Conference and Events Officer to join our small but mighty team. This is a new role, created to support our expanding training and events programme, and it’s an exciting time to come on board. You’ll be at the heart of event delivery, from shaping engaging programmes to managing logistics and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

Working closely with our Executive Director, you’ll manage our annual conference, the UK’s biggest cross-sector evaluation event, and support a varied schedule of training, webinars, and in-person and virtual workshops and events across the year.

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a small, collaborative, friendly, and ambitious team where everyone rolls up their sleeves and pulls together to make things happen. We’re passionate about what we do, and we have fun doing it! This is a great opportunity to grow your skills, shape meaningful events, and contribute to a mission that matters.

We offer:

  • A role with real potential to grow, offering opportunities to build your career and develop your skills in a supportive environment.
  • People-first culture
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Remote working from anywhere in the UK

What we’re looking for

You’ll need solid experience of running events and feel confident juggling multiple projects. You should be comfortable working on your own but also enjoy bouncing ideas around and working with others. You’ll have the chance to lead on a varied programme, from a large national conference to training, webinars, and other exciting events. It’s a role where you can get properly involved, shape how things are done, and see the impact of your work.

Experience in education, estates or facilities, membership organisations, or admin and customer service (paid or voluntary) would be useful. A background in charities or professional bodies is a bonus, but not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the organisation and delivery of our national conference
  • Securing conference speakers, sponsors and exhibitors
  • Event administration for conference, training, webinars and events, including bookings, finances, CRM
  • Supporting strategic objectives and future professional development programmes
