We are now looking for a Senior Lecturer in Business Management who will also undertake the role of Programme Manager for our DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) Programme at our London campus.
THE ROLE
The DBA is a professional doctorate which provides a structured programme of study through taught modules at Part I and a research thesis at Part II, closely integrated with an individual’s professional career development.
The Senior Lecturer in Business Management and DBA program manager will lead and oversee the DBA programme, while also undertaking high-quality teaching and research. As a part of the programme management responsibilities, the main duties will include leading and managing the DBA programme, overseeing high-quality delivery of the DBA, curriculum design, allocation of teaching resources for Doctoral modules, coordinating various Doctoral programme activities & events such as the Knowledge Symposium, attendance & publication at Conferences, providing students with the skillset to publish high-quality research, providing day-to-day support and mentoring for students, liaising with key stakeholders in the University, performing admissions interviews, and supervising the doctoral research of DBA students to completion. The responsibility will also include identifying suitable Doctoral Supervisors, and conducting and chairing vivas.
The post holder will offer academic and pastoral support to the students to the highest professional standards. This will include the development of a wide variety of lifelong learning competencies for DBA students across both Part I and Part II of the programme.
The Senior Lecturer is expected to contribute to the intellectual life of the Institute and the wider University, and champion their own individual research field and/or academic specialism. The ability and willingness to teach and lead on other business management programmes will also be advantageous.
