This new part-time post (0.6 FTE) is immediately available until 31 March 2026 on a fixed-term basis.

The post
The Faculty wishes to recruit a 60% FTE Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of the Nurture-U university student mental health project led by Professor Edward Watkins. This Medical Research Council funded post is available immediately until the 31st of March 2026. The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring student engagement in this MRC-funded project and in supporting external dissemination including via social media, newsletters and stakeholder events, and to be involved in supporting research within the overall project.
The post will include providing practical engaged research and public engagement contribution to data analysis and contribution to writing up reports and papers for publication; liaising with, and supporting a diverse representative group of student volunteers including a Student Advisory Board to expand reach, maintain connection with student body and assist with engagement tasks; supporting engagement and knowledge translation activities including development of online resources, social media production, organising and scheduling engagement events with and for stakeholders including student.
About you
The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.
Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
Applicants will be able to engage and motivate student partners, support external dissemination and communication and plan, conduct and evaluate public engagement events and research methods.
