About the role
You’ll join us for a year to take on this exciting new opportunity – part of a major University change project – to contribute to content that presents our re-imagined curriculum to our online users in the most attractive, easy-to-use ways.
Users are at the heart of our digital and creative output. You’ll create, source, edit and check content – driven by changes to our curriculum and informed by user needs, marketing insight, and brand and legal requirements.
You’ll work on content to drive forward student recruitment, and help ensure a good user and student experience. All within our overarching narrative that helps tell key audiences about the Sussex story.
Reporting to the Head of Content Discovery and Operations in the Digital and Creative Media (DCM) department, you’ll work with the project team and colleagues within other core teams. You’ll be working on making online content display in clear and attractive ways for external users.
You’ll use your expertise, personal and creative problem-solving skills to liaise with stakeholders across the University, working to delivery schedules and staying on top of content management processes.
You’ll actively listen and ask questions to understand problems, but you’re able to get the job done. You're aware of your strengths and weaknesses, but can make recommendations. You can see other people’s point of view while working towards solutions.
Your work will contribute to ensuring that our re-imagined, innovative curriculum is presented in the most engaging way and the best possible experience to our users – so Sussex can continue to attract talented students who want to make a difference in the world.
About you
With creative flair, you’re able to write clear, concise, accurate and engaging copy, and adapt it for a range of marketing or communications purposes and a variety of audiences.
You:
You’re happy to work independently but also work positively as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders and colleagues.
