Our Campaigns, Policy & Research (CPR) department plays a vital role in shaping public discourse and policy through rigorous research and strategic campaigning.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Research and Impact Manager to lead our research programme and ensure that all aspects of our work are grounded in robust evidence. You will manage strategic research projects, evaluate organisational impact, and support the development of our CPR strategy. This is an exciting role for a conscientious and analytical person, passionate about using research to drive social change and improve outcomes for animals, people, and the planet.

Key Responsibilities

Research Leadership

- Design and deliver innovative research projects aligned with TVS strategy.
- Commission and manage external research partners.
- Conduct original research using desk studies, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
- Oversee the production of research outputs including reports, briefings, and blogs.
- Monitor developments in vegan-related research and maintain up-to-date resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams to embed evidence-based approaches across the Society.

Communication & Engagement

- Strengthen relationships with external partners including our Research Advisory Committee and Researcher Network.
- Represent TVS at conferences, workshops, and media engagements.
- Work with Communications to promote research findings across digital and media platforms.
- Ensure quality control and accuracy in all research outputs.

Team Leadership

- Line manage the Research Officer and support CPR Assistants.
- Provide guidance, performance reviews, and professional development support.

Impact & Evaluation

- Lead on monitoring and evaluation using our departmental Impact Tracker.
- Produce annual impact reports and assess progress against strategic objectives.
- Support teams across the organisation with evaluation frameworks and strategic planning.

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience in research project management, ideally within a research, advocacy or commercial setting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, knowledge of different research methods and platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Passion for veganism and alignment with our values.
- Experience in impact evaluation and strategic reporting is highly desirable.
