Director of Postgraduate Research

Union Theological College is a leader in theological education and academic research, committed to academic excellence and realising a student community that thrives and makes a lifelong contribution to the Church and society.

We are seeking a Director of Postgraduate Research to contribute to the Christian ministry and mission of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland through the delivery of the duties outlined.

Under the Leadership of the Principal of Union Theological College to assist with the implementation of decisions of the General Assembly relevant to Union Theological College and to carry forward its delegated responsibilities.

Under the direction of the Principal of Union Theological College:

• to contribute to the intellectual life and research culture of the college by engaging in research, teaching, and publication in your areas of interest;
• to co-ordinate the recruitment, selection, training, and supervision of Union Theological College’s Research Associate community;
• to oversee existing Union Theological partnerships in doctoral research to ensure compliance with all relevant Union Theological College policies;
• to lead in developing new partnerships that will enhance Union Theological College’s research profile.
