Cambridge University Library Storage Facility (LSF), located in Witchford, Ely is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent service orientated person to join its high performing team providing storage and logistics services to the library community in Cambridge.
The post requires a very high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and physical handling appropriate to a National Archive Library, to receive new library material to the LSF, perform bibliographical checking, sort and enter it on to the online Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Using a variety of manual handling vehicles, including powered pallet trucks and High-Level Order Pickers (HiLOP) you will then file the new material safely into the main warehouse. In addition to this you will undertake a picking and restocking role to make the material available to Cambridge University Library users in a timely fashion.
The post also includes basic warehouse operations including cleaning and waste disposal.
