Job Synopsis
The School of Engineering is seeking candidates for the role of Assistant Professor in Industrial Operations and Engineering Management Science. The School has close links with both national and international manufacturing industry and is committed to conducting relevant impactful research to provide solutions for industry and societal needs.
Ideal candidates for this post will have experience in industrial operations and engineering management, with expertise in discrete event simulation, agent-based modelling and optimisation with applications to supply chain and manufacturing systems. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent research programme supported by extramural funding and to supervise postgraduate research students. The successful candidate is expected to be able to work independently as well as contribute to research centres/groups such as the Bernal Institute at UL. Candidates should have the ability to lecture to students in supply chain management and industrial organisation and be committed to teaching excellence.
