Applications are invited for a Disability and Learning Development Tutor, in Student Support and Development.
As Disability and Learning Development Tutor, you will join a small dynamic team of disability and learning development professionals supporting the diverse needs of students across the Glasgow School of Art. You will work with individual students and applicants, supporting them to recognise and developing their skills, aptitudes and approaches to learning. You will act as first point of contact for our disabled students and will assess their needs and recommend reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010. Working with individuals and groups, you’ll identify and assess students’ learning related needs and determine how these needs can be effectively met in the learning and teaching context. This will include development of specialist study support interventions, delivering specialist learning development programmes for individuals and groups in addition to embedded academic study skills support.
