We are now looking to recruit a Catering Manager to join us to provide effective management of the food production and hospitality needs of the Catering department in a way that promotes a professional service. This is a full-time, term-time only + 2 weeks role.
Managing the food production and beverage provision across the Bistro, Enterprise and wider hospitality requirements, you must monitor the quality of the product and service provided within the Bistro as well as managing the front of house and back of house staff.
Ensuring that all College Health, Hygiene and Safety procedures are adhered to, you will be responsible for training permanent and casual staff and for organising, leading and motivating the catering technician team; planning staff shifts and rosters and budgeting and establishing financial targets and forecasts.
About You
We are looking for someone with proven experience as a qualified Chef working in similar environments (ideally within education).You will have good people management skills and be capable of making food produce orders and of stocktaking; front of house experience is desirable. Candidates should hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery or similar coupled with a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or a willingness to work towards this) and a wide range of cooking abilities and knowledge. Able to offer new and innovative menus ideas, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels.
