The Laboratory Team is responsible for the provision of lab services in four subject areas: Soils and Environmental Science; Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Animal Health; General Biology; Nutrition.

You will play a key role in our team, preparing and setting up lab practical classes and providing research support in the area of general biology (anatomy and physiology; agronomy).
Starting as a grade 4 laboratory technician, you will study alongside your job and complete a Level 6 Degree Laboratory Bio-scientist apprenticeship with apprenticeship provider, TIRO (https://tiro.co.uk/programmes/degree-laboratory-bioscientist/?nab=1) with the aim of becoming a grade 6 senior laboratory technician.
Normal working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, Harper Adams University term time. However, flexible working is expected. For example, clearing away classes which finish at 6pm.
