Teaching Fellow

The successful Teaching Fellow will support the delivery of high-quality teaching in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. They will help shape our future undergraduate and postgraduate curriculums and deliver world class education across our undergraduate and postgraduate Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering programmes and deliver an exceptional student experience.

About the person:

Essential Criteria:

• Honours Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Hold, or be in the process of completing, a PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience of teaching in a higher education setting.
• Breadth and depth of relevant specialist knowledge to teach at undergraduate and or/postgraduate levels across the School UG/PGT provision. Relevant experience would include (but is not limited to) Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Space Systems, Manufacturing Technology and Systems, along with experience in delivering and developing Project-Based Learning modules.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information in English and a proven ability to present ideas clearly and succinctly.

This post is available for 17 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
