As an integral member of the course team, the Lecturer in Data Science and AI will play a key role in delivering and continually evolving our undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer and data science. Your insight and specialist knowledge will ensure the curriculum reflects the latest research and developments in the field, while also encouraging innovative and critical approaches to data science education.
This is a position within a rapidly growing discipline that values innovation in both pedagogy and curriculum design. You will help students explore AI, data science and computer science through a creative and critical lens, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to develop the next generation of AI technologies and data-driven services.
Beyond your teaching responsibilities, you will provide academic and pastoral support to a cohort of students, monitoring their progress and attendance and maintaining accurate records to support each student’s academic journey.
About you
We are seeking a committed academic practitioner with a background in computer or data science or a closely related discipline.
You should bring experience of teaching and assessment in a higher education environment or an equivalent setting, alongside a track record of research, professional practice, or knowledge exchange that contributes to the advancement of computer and data science.
You will also demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills, as well as a creative and inclusive approach to teaching and academic practice.
