We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Officer to join the University’s award-winning and ambitious Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment department. Reporting to the Marketing Manager (Distance Learning), the Marketing Officer will play a key role in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of high impact marketing campaigns and recruitment activity that support the University’s Distance Learning recruitment strategy and targets.
This varied role involves working across multiple channels and media, with a strong focus on student-centred marketing communications. You will contribute to the development and management of recruitment campaigns that maximise engagement and drive traffic to our Distance Learning web pages; develop customer journeys that integrate with the University’s CRM system; work with colleagues to produce compelling, high performing content; and monitor and report on marketing performance to inform future activity.
You will work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment and build strong relationships with the Distance Learning Unit, which leads the strategic development of our online course portfolio at the University of Huddersfield.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven marketing professional to make an impact in a professional and supportive environment. As Marketing Officer, you will have a degree or equivalent education in a Marketing or related subject and experience of creating content specifically to increase engagement with target audiences. You will have an understanding of customer journeys, segmentation and personas and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the role, there may be a requirement to work occasional weekends and evenings.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
