Worcester College is hiring an Event Support Technician to provide technical assistance for various college events, including seminars, conferences, and workshops. The role involves coordinating with the College Events team and managing AV equipment, assisting presenters, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth event operations. The Technician will handle microphone levels, camera setups, event recordings, and screen sharing, as well as perform regular equipment checks. Training will be provided, and the role includes supporting and training less experienced staff.

Hours to be worked: pre-event checks in the morning 1 hour from 8am-9am Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Thursday. And then when event occurs in the evening from 5pm onwards till the event finishes.

Rate of pay £15.78 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with teams to organise event support.
  • Manage AV equipment and troubleshoot issues.
  • Record events using Panopto and assist with screen sharing.
  • Support presenters and assist in training less experienced staff.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with AV equipment and event support.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
