The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama seeks a Specialist Study Skills Tutor to join our Disability Service. Working as part of a small and friendly team, the Tutor will support students to overcome barriers to academic achievement and enable them to develop the skills to succeed in higher education.
The role holder will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the effects of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), current professional membership and experience of teaching study skills appropriate for a higher education context. They will also possess an awareness of the strengths which neurodiverse students can bring to a learning situation and the skills that will enable them to overcome barriers to learning.
The Disability Service is part of Central’s Student Centre, which includes a Student Advice Service and a Counselling Service.
