About the Role
The successful candidate will be expected to provide full administrative support within the research team; and, as such, have a working knowledge of all studies within the department, with focus on supporting the department’s administrative needs, study protocol and patient flow. The role will include the registration of new patients for the service, handling queries (e.g. from patients and GPs), arranging appointments/correspondence and supporting the team to make the flow of the patient’s pathway as smooth as possible. The main duties will be maintaining both paper and electronic files, as well as ensuring each step of the patient’s pathway is accurately documented in the appropriate data capture systems in a timely manner. The role will also involve coordination R&D applications and maintenance of database of trial activity. The post holder will support the activities of the research delivery manager to assist with the implementation and conduct of trials and maintenance of high-quality work and training.
About You
Our preferred candidate will possess a high degree of interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written. They will have a drive to be an active participant in the department, with a goal to progress inside the research space. They will have prior experience working independently in an administrative or research role with a large team.

The post is based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed-term appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £32,804 - £39,463 per annum, inclusive of London allowance.
