Lecturer/Assistant Professor (Temporary Fixed Term 3 Years)

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor within UCD School of Geography.

Applications are invited for a position as Assistant Professor (above the bar) in the UCD School of Geography. Applicants must have an established research track record and be capable of excellent undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as well as demonstrated administrative leadership and engagement. The successful applicant will be expected to teach modules with a particular focus on Sustainability. Potential areas of expertise in research and teaching include but are not limited to (in no particular order): physical geography, biogeography, GIS/Remote sensing, human geography. The appointee will be expected to deliver modules in the School’s offerings in Sustainability at undergraduate and postgraduate level, which include, among others, the areas of sustainability, GIS, environmental assessment, fieldwork, research tools and methods.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €64,112 - €101,524 Per Annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
